A very nice painting, Kaye. A certain Cape Code photo on M&M blog made me think of you. It was a scene that I loved and when I saw it I thought: Kaye should paint that!
Check out the last picture on the Mark’s ‘Cancer on the Road’ post. It is Nauset Beach on Cape Code. Michelle had a similar shot on her 5th and 6th Week slide - a longer shot of the same scene.
Doesn’t that look like something you would paint?
Keep up the good work. There IS more to life than blogging.
This morning I heard an odd noise on the front porch. Instead of one of the two neighbor cats who come to see me in the morning, a lost rottweiler puppy was lapping up the cat water! He was stittish but hadn’t be lost long, not hurt or dirty. My cat puffed up really big behind the storm door but I don’t think the dog noticed. I gave him a large bowl of cat food and refilled the water bowl. He scarffed it down and went next door to bother the beagle puppy behind the fence. I have too busy a day to do anything else, besides I don’t trust animal control although they swear they don’t put down purebreds or any dog before 5 days. The neighbor cats won’t like it but my pedestrian court is a good place for a lost dog to hang out for a while.
Wow Janice — I can tell you the Rottweiler is the loyalest of dogs; you have probably made a friend for life. I also do not trust animal control — especially with Rotts — there is a BIG societal prejudice against this wonderful breed — you might see if Louisville has a Rottweiler Rescue group like the one where we adopted our beloved Ajax. You might also want to check with a vet because the puppy might be chipped, that is injected with an ID chip with owner info that can be read by a device almost all vets now have. Of course, Val says you can always send him out here …
